TURNING TRASH INTO TREASURE SINCE 1926

Greymart was originally founded in 1926 as Wallabout Metal Company, a well respected precious metal refiner that served the New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut tri-state area. In the 1970’s Wallabout Metal Company was rebranded as Greymart and restructured its services to meet the growing awareness of businesses impact upon the environment and consequentially businesses needs to reduce those impacts.

Today Greymart operates in over 38 states as a recycling and recovery entity, but our humble environmental roots date back nearly a century ago as a consultative refiner that helped manufactures identify opportunities to turn their industrial bi-products into significant revenue streams. Through years of research, partnership coordination, field experience, and technological investment we’ve created a wide range of tailored recycling programs and services to meet the needs of the health care, industrial, and photographic industries. From our early upbringing in industrial waste management to our present day advanced medical recycling operations, Greymart has built a reputation as an industry leader that offers ethical and comprehensive recycling and waste solutions.
